I've talked before about how we love to go antiquing in Asheville, NC, at one of our favorite places: the Antique Tobacco Barn. Even though we run our own antiques business, we still enjoy hunting down cool, funky stuff for our 1920s vintage bungalow on our days off.

That's it in the photo. When we took a 15' by 22' space for our antique furniture and home decor accents, we got busy making new price tags and we loaded up our trailer. We thought it would take two days to move into the space. How wrong can you be?

Between planning the booth layout, then loading and unloading two full trailer loads, as well as cleaning and waxing 20 pieces of furniture and hanging 20 chandeliers it took way longer than expected to move into the Antique Tobacco Barn. It took a full six days! I'm not complaining as we love being in Asheville and all the effort we put into the booth was worth it. We managed to fit a lot of pieces in and we think it turned out great.

EuroLux Antique Tobacco Barn AshevilleWe're honored that the Antique Tobacco Barn Facebook page has featured a few of our pieces already. The Antique Tobacco Barn has more than 75 dealers selling in 77,000 square feet of space, so it's a true antiques emporium for every taste and at every price point. It has been named the best antique store in western North Carolina many times and the huge venue's history as a former tobacco auction site adds to the vintage appeal.

We picked Antique Tobacco Barn as a new outlet for various reasons. Partly because we've now guaranteed ourselves a trip up to Asheville at least once a month, but also because the location is very close to Biltmore House and Biltmore Village and the visiting tourists who enjoy shopping for antiques.

vintage bungalow summer2012When I finally got back to Newberry, SC, last week it struck me that I needed to start thinking about my own Christmas shopping! It's a busy time. In addition to visiting family over the holidays, we hope to finish the shower in our 1920s vintage bungalow renovation between Christmas and New Year so that we don't have to keep commuting to bathe!

Although I loved sharing my tour of Traditional Christmas Decor in Every Room in my last blog posts, I haven't had much chance to decorate our new home myself. I'm just proud I was able to get it cleaned up of construction dust prior to Christmas. We did install the stove last week and ate our first meal - we made (canned) biscuits on Sunday! I'll finish moving the kitchen after the holiday so we don't have to keep eating out every night.

This was our 10th anniversary year in the European antique furniture business and although the year is coming to an end we are celebrating two new beginnings. One at Antique Tobacco Barn, and one in our "new" vintage bungalow home. I wish you a wonderful Christmas and thank you for reading our blog.  May you have as many blessings as Greg and I do this Christmas!

Hey, it is really awesome “Antique Tobacco Barn Asheville” and I liked it. The photos of antiques furniture’s are very nice. Your booth layout is best and the idea of room decoration is very best. I will apply this in my home.
